The Museum Store offers a variety of thought provoking and beautiful items that highlight our city's rich heritage: hard-to-find books, historic images, jewelry made by local artists, educational books and vintage toys for children, museum and exhibition publications, as well as unique gifts.
Shop books written by Santa Barbara local Hattie Beresford, historian and author of the popular local history column for the Montecito Journal called “The Way It Was.” She is also a regular contributor to the Montecito Journal magazine. Together with the Historical Museum, she co-edited and produced the memoir of local artist Elizabeth Eaton Burton entitled, "My Santa Barbara Scrap Book." Hattie is also a participating author of the Museum's journal, Noticias. In The Play's the Thing: Santa Barbara's Cultural Renaissance (Noticias Vol. LVII, No. 1), she recounts the history of the Community Arts Association and follows their impact on the Santa Barbara arts community.
